Conferences of the Network are open to all interested scholars in the field. The Network specifically invites post-docs and doctoral candidates to participate and present their projects, whether in the form of papers or, for research projects not directly related to the theme of the conference, as exposés on posters. If possible, young post-docs and doctoral candidates will receive financial support from the Network. Calls for papers and posters will be published through the usual channels.
The purpose of the network conferences is not to conduct specialised discussion in the areas chosen; rather, their aim is to make the results of specialized research in all relevant disciplines broadly known, to put them in relation to one another, and to discuss models for a general assessment of the epoch with respect to the theme of each conference. The programs of past conferences can be found on the following pages.
Since 2012 the Network meets every second year, alternating between venues in Europe and America. Conference topics will be defined individually for each occasion.
